Summer of Winnie

They say that money can buy you a fine dog, but only love can make him wag his tail. While this is true, in this case, money will also help one very loved dog wag his tail a while longer.

Winston, Lisa Stephenson's beloved Ridgeback Lab, was recently diagnosed with bone cancer, just days before his 10th birthday. At this appointment, he was given only 1 month to live. 

Fortunately, an animal oncologist has decided it's possible (and humane, don't worry!) to remove the cancer from Winston's paw and start him on treatments to prolong his life for as long as one more year. Unfortunately, it's a very pricey process.

For Lisa, Winston is more than a dog. He is her best friend, and true family. You will rarely see one without the other. All donations will make it possible for Lisa to spend a few more precious months with Winston. 

This is going to be the summer of Winnie. Between treatments, Lisa wants Winston to experience all the things he loves: swimming, chasing his ball at friend's cottages, being treated like a king and having one last doggy party, with all of his friends in attendance. 

Thank you so much for reading this, and considering helping extend Winston's life. Lisa plans to use the funds for Winston's veterinary bills.  Any leftover funds will be donated to the Mississauga Oakville Emergency Hospital, that specializes in cancer treatment for dogs.
