Summer of Cello

Hello All!

As most of you may know, I am a classically trained Cellist, and have been studying for the last 14 years on my instrument. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a cellist, but my mom would just tell you I ran up and picked the biggest instrument I could carry home. There hasn't been a day since 10 years old where I didn't have some kind of music in my head or my hands. Recently I was accepted into two music intensives that are what most musicians dream of. If I am able to raise this money, I'll be able to travel to both Montecito, CA and Vidin, Bulgaria, where I will gain the opportunity of a lifetime, studying with 16 Cello Professors, study under the teacher who I will do my Masters Degree with, and for the first time in my life, performing as a soloist with an orchestra. When I first began my musical endeavors I never thought in this lifetime that I would be able to study with some of the top musicians in the world, and be called a soloist at 24 years old.

I love everything about what I do. I've met so many incredible people and had some memories that have changed my life, for the better. Even on my worst days, and when I wanted to give up, Cello was the only thing in my life that was there for me. The feeling I get when I hear a cello or a cellist playing immediately gives me goosebumps. Teaching students and helping them achieve the opportunities I never got, makes me happy in ways that words can't even describe. The feeling I get walking in and out of a quartet rehearsal, and being surrounded by my colleagues, but more importantly friends, and constantly pushing my mind to translate a language on a page from black and white to color, has helped me connect with complete strangers. Music has always been a fluent language for me... and I want to share it with the world, with anyone who will listen and make it that much more accessible, because everyone deserves to know what it is like to make music, understand it, and even better... enjoy it. It's become my mission in life to make classical music more accessible to many different audiences, from playing in detention centers, performing for the elderly, in my friends homes, for anyone who will listen, I want to share this music with you all. I know these opportunities will set me up successfully in order to continue my mission and reach an even greater audience.

I know this is a lot to ask from my community, but even if all 1,747 of my friends on Facebook donated $5.00, I would be able to enjoy and reap the benefits that these opportunities will undoubtedly bring to me and my career. It's not everyday that dreams come true, but these two opportunities are mine and nothing is worse than having your dreams right there, and having something like money be the only thing standing in your way.  With a little bit of help I know I can get there. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated, and you will be sent all the videos you can handle once I do arrive. The combined cost of these opportunities is $6,000.00. But I know we can get there!

Thank you in advance <3
