Summer Ferguson Memorial Fund

In the early morning of Wednesday November 30, 2022 Summer Ferguson was found not breathing by her boyfriend at her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He performed CPR and called for emergency medical services. When they arrived life saving measures were taken and EMS was able to gain a pulse. Upon arriving to St. Luke’s Hospital she was intubated and they began testing to see what could be done. Due to lack of oxygen for an unknown amount of time, the MRI’s on Summer’s brain are no longer showing activity and she is currently on life support. Doctor’s have informed us there is nothing else that can be done. Summer, with her amazingly generous heart and kind nature will be doing one last grand gesture and donating her organs so someone else can have a chance at life. Due to this unexpected tragedy and her young age of only 26 she was not prepared. Summer lost her mother to cancer in 2017 and she lost her father tragically in 2021. Her brother Justice Ferguson is left with this unthinkable burden of laying her to rest once life support is removed this week. We are asking for donations to help give Summer the memorial she deserves and to say our last goodbyes. Summer’s beautiful smile, her contagious laugh, and unique sense of humor will be missed by all who know and love her.
