Summer Camp for Ukrainian Orphans

At UCARE, our mission is to improve the quality of life and health of children residing in the Ukrainian orphanage system, and to create opportunities for these children to reach their maximum potential.  As part of this effort, each summer we help fund a camp for these kids in the Carpathian mountains of Ukraine.

The campers spend two weeks in the fresh mountain air; sing, dance, swim and play games; make new friends; learn folks crafts and first aid; and hike and climb mountains, including Mt. Hoverla, Ukraine's highest peak.  When the camp ends, we all cry as they leave for home.
