Sulawesi tsunami & earthquake
Donation protected
My name is Zoe and I am 13 years old. For all of 2016 & 2017 I lived in Jakarta, Indonesia and I am starting a go-fund-me page for the victims of the tragic natural disasters in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
On Friday the 28th of September 2018, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake hit Sulawesi. The earthquake triggered a tsunami wave that has already been the result of more than 1500 people pronounced dead and many missing.
Thousands on Sulawesi locals have lost their residence and their family and need urgent help.
Every cent that is raised on my go-fund-me page will be donated to The Red Cross Australia which is an amazing organization that loves to help & support people that are in need all around the world. The money that is donated will go towards “simple” things to us like blankets, sanitary products and food, which will support the victims on an everyday basis. Also, the money will pay for specialists to be able to fly over to the island of Sulawesi and hand-to-hand help them with medical operations and more.
From my experiences living in Indonesia, a lot of the people living there were experiencing a very tough life. So many of the people in Sulawesi were living in extremely tough conditions, and some were in very small houses that would for sure not hold up during a 7.4 magnitude earthquake and a massive tsunami.
Even donating a very small amount will impact the lives of people who have suffered some sort of loss surrounding this event.
Thank you very much!
(not sponsored by the red cross but all of the money will go to their Sulawesi foundation)
