Suicide and Mental Health Awareness Campaign

Hi everyone,

On the 1st of January I will be taking on the challenge of going 150 days sober. I'll be doing this to help Samaritans and raise awareness for mental health issues relating to suicide, anxiety and depression. Having suffered from mental health difficulties and suicidal thoughts for over a year and a half,  this is something very close to my heart.

The money raised during this campaign will help train and support Samaritans' volunteers. This will allow Samaritans' to keep their phone lines open, enabling them to support someone struggling to cope, as well as those whose mental health has been impacted by the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic.

Any donations would be enormously appreciated, no matter how small. Please also share this to raise awareness. If there is anyone else suffering too, know I am always here to talk. It's okay not to be okay.

More information about Samaritans: Samaritans' vision is that fewer people die by suicide. Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland dies by suicide, and every six seconds, somebody contacts Samaritans for help.

Many thanks,

Freddie Ricks
