Su Rehnberg Healing Fund

It is with a heavy heart that I share the trials of our friend and co-worker Su Rehnberg. In the last year, Su has been faced with the extremely difficult diagnosis of MDS, a form of Leukemia. She has been a trooper through it all and several months ago entered a period of remission. We were elated with that news and the exciting opportunity for her and her husband to move to their "goal home" in Colorado.

Unfortunately, the MDS has again wreaked havoc on Su's health, to such a degree that she requires a bone marrow transplant. Su has found an "imperfect" match and can now proceed with the transplant.  The process includes time to establish the very best health possible before the transplant, then spending a month in the hospital with the transplant, followed by 3 months in Denver, near the hospital, for interim care.

There have been and will be significant expenses associated with this process (with hotel stays and commutes).  I'm sure much more that I can't even begin to understand.

Su's Leave of Absence from work begins today.  We hope to have some funds for her by Feb/Mar.  Every little bit counts, even $5 means she may be able to get a specialty drink on her way to/from upcoming transfusions.  $10 means she can order a movie from her hotel bed during her THREE MONTH stay interim care. And it all makes her journey just a bit more bearable.

Above all, say a little prayer.  Heck, say many - please.  We want her WELL and back in action!!
