Your emails of support to our JackRabbit team in Sugarland have been truly inspiring and a reflection of what a cohesive team we have. As you are aware our store is closed due to Hurricane Harvey, our staff has been displaced and their lives have been totally turned to uncertainty.
Our store manager, Sam Hulse, says that for now the team is fine, but the future is unknown, as it is for most in Houston.
In Sam's situation, he and his family were evacuated to Katy, Texas. Yesterday, Katy Texas was put under evacuation. As you can tell, from the one example, the crisis is day-to-day. Many other employees are facing similar situations.
To show our continued support we have setup this GoFundMe page, so we are all able to contribute to helping put our teammates lives back together. CriticalPoint has generously donated $5,000 in support of Sam and his team. JackRabbit will continue to compensate our staff through this difficult time. I know so many of our teammates and vendor community have been waiting for this note to provide your support. JackRabbit will also be donating our slightly worn shoes to the people in need in Houston.
Our hearts go out to all our staff and the people of Southeast Texas. Please know that you have our full support to get you through this tragic event.
