The Bain Family

Donation protected
To all my friends, family, and co-workers, Tyler Bain is the regional manager for n'Vent Caddy and has been a friend for over three years. Joel Keck (my business partner) and I have decided to start a GoFund page to try and help Tyler, his wife Bree, and their 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn Kay. I asked Bree to give me a little insight into what they have been dealing with for the past several years; please read below. I would like to humbly ask every one of you to take a couple of minutes out of your day and consider contributing to their fund. I know that times are tough these days, and if you cannot make a financial contribution, please keep the Bain family, especially Tyler, in your prayers. Thank you, and God bless you all and your families.

In August 2017, at 28, Tyler Bain was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblasmake. toma - a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer in his right temporal lobe. He underwent brain surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. After 15 months, there was no trace of cancer on his MRIs, and his treatments stopped.

In August 2020, Tyler Bain married his long-time partner, Bree. Just weeks after the wedding, they discovered they were expecting a little addition to their family. Five months into the pregnancy, Tyler Bain had a routine MRI that showed tumor growth in the prior resection of the right temporal and a new inoperable tumor located on his brain stem. He immediately began a chemotherapy treatment plan.

About six months into treatment, Tyler developed brain bleeds around the tumors that caused an array of various symptoms and complications. His chemotherapy treatment plan was altered to attack the cancer cells and aid in stabilizing the brain bleeds. During the past 19 months of treatment for the reoccurrence and the brain bleeds, Tyler has developed vision complications that require him to wear an eye patch and needs a cane for stability.

The Tyler we all know and love is stubborn and pushes through obstacles. On June 30, 2022, Tyler wanted to work on something in his garage and had an unfortunate fall from a ladder. Fortunately, a neighbor found him, and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, where he received ten staples in his head and fractured his clavicle and three ribs. Despite the pain, Tyler was not himself in any capacity the next day and was rushed to the hospital again.

After various tests and scans, the medical team discovered a clot in the main artery in his brain. Since Tyler also still has active brain bleeds, he was admitted to the Neuro Intensive Care Unit, where the medical team treated him for the most immediate risk (the clot with blood thinners) but closely monitored his brain bleeds.

During his 10-night stay in the hospital, one of Tyler's brain bleeds slightly grew, but the medical team has cleared him to go home and be closely monitored at home. He still is undergoing his treatments for the cancer reoccurrence while also being on blood thinners to mitigate the brain clot.

He continues to fight. He fights for his wife & 15-month-old daughter, his family & friends, and himself.

To do that, he has officially gone on disability from work to take the necessary time to heal. Tyler is receiving in-home PT/OT therapy, medical care, and implementing medical equipment solutions to set himself up for the best long-term success.
