Sue's Dental Fund

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Cindy a friend of Sue Byrne and I'm helping her to raise money for her much needed and urgent dental work.

Here is the issue that I'm hoping you can join me in supporting Sue with.  I'll let her tell you about it -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"At the age of 58 I am about to lose all my teeth through a life long dental condition where the natural protective enamel flaked off my teeth leaving them open to decay.

This condition meant I started having my first dental work at 8yrs old!  Over the years I have had all of my teeth either filled, crowned, root filled or removed and now I am at the end of the line!

My future options are as follows

* Full implants

* 8 Implants with fixed plates - recommended option

* Acrylic Dentures

The 1st option is not an option, mainly because of cost (over £100,000) but also because this is not recommended by my dentist.

The 3rd option is possible but it would mean I would have to remove the dentures every night, gum shrinkage would change the shape of my mouth and it would cover my pallet making food difficult to taste and generally they are uncomfortable. I also feel I am too young to take this path at this point in time.

The 2nd option is the one I would like to take as it will give me the most comfort, taste, oral hygiene and will look aesthetically good, which even at my age is important! ♥

This option will cost £25,000 to completion and this is where I have hit a large stumbling block.

Although I own the leasehold of the flat I shared with Richard and it has no mortgage outstanding, I am unable to raise the money I need from there. The main reason being that I didn't work for a year and a half
following Richard’s death and due to the major banks now applying ‘responsible lending’ rules, they will not give a mortgage to anyone who cannot show their last 3 years of income.

I've been through all the options including lending it from an independent financial lender but I am concerned that I would pay very high interest and I could get ripped off!

Also I could also sell my flat now but it currently has a sitting tenant who's contract doesn't runout until July 2017. If I were to sell it now I would lose rather a large amount of it value. - Sue Byrne, June 2016"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That was difficut for Sue to write and to ask for your help, as anyone who knows her will understand. What we are hoping for is to raise the money rather quickly as the work needs to be carried out in July or August of this year.  This is due to the nature of the work as Sue will run out of options if she leaves it another year due to bone shrinkage.

Now, Sue doesnt want donations but I think anyone who wants to support her should be allowed to choose between a donation and a loan.

Donation
If you are offering a donation that does NOT need to paid back, please pick a perk from the boxes below.

Loan
If you can offer a loan that will be paid back as soon as possible when she obtains the money from the sale of her flat next August 2017, please send me a message to 07739 188 039 with your email address, the amount and your contact details and I will have a legally binding IOU drawn up.

Thank you for reading this far, now please take action, we need to raise the money within 1 month.

Thank you, Cindy

P.S. and the best perk you could get will be a big hug and a thank you from Sue.
