Sue Dampier Medical Expenses

Sue Dampier returned to her home after work in Centennial, CO on Thursday November 9th.  Her life changed in an instant when she was brutally attacked by her mentally ill daughter.  Sue was shot at point blank range with a hunting rifle and sustained life-threatening injuries to her abdomen and shoulder.  Sue was able to escape her home and was rushed to the hospital.

Sue was rushed into emergency surgery where the staff at Parker Adventist did an amazing job of caring for her.  After several hours of surgery, Sue was moved to intensive care.  At this juncture, the surgeons were not optimistic that they would be able to save her arm and may have to amputate it.

Now, after a week which has included three surgeries, the prognosis is that Sue will be able to keep her arm.

But, this is the beginning of a long journey to recovery.  The level of expertise that the next rounds of surgeries will require is extensive and when she is well enough to travel, will have to go to specialists around the country to complete the reconstruction of her shoulder, arm, and muscles that were destroyed in the attack.

We are asking that you join us in helping fund Sue’s recovery today.  Sue has lost so much, including her daughter.  Please help us pay it forward with whatever you can, including your thoughts and prayers.
