We are so excited to begin the journey of starting our family through adoption. We believe that this is God's direction for us and are ready to dive in with open hearts.
In James 1:27, Paul writes to his readers and says, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their need..." God calls us to an active faith. Not one that sits by and observes. He has called each and everyone of us to be his hands and his feet. While everyone is not called to adopt into their family, we are all called to adoption. As the body of Christ, our salvation was dependent upon the grace given to us and through adoption into God's family we have hope.
Unfortunately the cost of adopting domestically often deters many families from answering the call. Domestic adoption in the US can cost anywhere from $30,000 to upwards of $60,000. The cost is dependent on a multitude of legal fees and expenses required from the birth mother.
While we are praying for the full $30,000 to be raised, please know that no amount is too small and everything counts towards helping fulfill God's calling. We hope that you will prayerfully consider giving. Know that we are thankful for the role that you will play in our lives and the life of a child.
Lastly, we want to let everyone know how much it means to us to not only be supported financially, but also spiritually. We covet your prayers and support during this time as we navigate God's call on our lives. Please continue to lift us up and pray for the child that we know God has for our family.
