Sudden Complex Partial Seizures

On Friday Feb 7, 2020 while getting ready work, I collapsed and blacked out. My wife was able to get me coherent and made me stay home for the day and then for the week. Yes, she has that power over me. We went to my primary care doctor later that morning and after several test she made us go to the ER. We spent the better part of the next two days in there with no explanation as to why I was continuing to black out. They told us to follow up with primary care and the earliest I could get in was in 4 days (Wednesday). At that appt, my PCP, called 911 and I was transported to the nearest hospital where I have been ever since. The current diagnosis is Complex Partial Siezures. This means that if it is resolved now, which it has not, the soonest I could drive would be in 3 months. At this point I cannot work either because of my seizures. To be fair, I have already had diagnosis of a seizure disorder/epilepsy since 1993, but it has been well controlled since 2005. These seizures are different than previously and present new challenges. As for now, I am applying for disability to take care of my family in the long term, but for the short term, I am hoping that my friends and family will help me over the coming weeks. Best case scenario, is that this ends up being a short term problem and I will be able to go back to work. Of course this is what we are all hoping for, but we need help in the interim. The amount equals 12 weeks of pay, presumably until long term disability begins. Worse case scenario is that I will have to apply for social security benefits. Thank you friends and family. We truly appreciate all the prayers and our church family. They have been such incredible support.
