<div>Ab September dürfen wir drei engagierte junge Menschen aus Südafrika in Deutschland willkommen heißen: Fadzai, Bonolo und Kearabetswe. Im Rahmen des Süd-Nord-Programms von Friends e.V. leisten sie für ein Jahr einen Freiwilligendienst in sozialen Einrichtungen in Deutschland.

<div>Die drei Freiwilligen werden bei den Rothenburger Werke Menschen mit Behinderung und ältere Menschen begleiten sowie in der Ludothek Berlin Kinder in ihrer Entwicklung und ihrem Spiel fördern. Mit ihrem Engagement, ihrer Offenheit und ihren Erfahrungen bereichern sie nicht nur die Einrichtungen, sondern auch die Menschen, denen sie begegnen.

<div>Doch damit dieser wichtige Austausch möglich bleibt, brauchen wir Unterstützung.

<div>Nur etwa 75 % der entstehenden Kosten werden durch Fördermittel gedeckt. Für Reise-, Versicherungs-, Bildungs-, Begleit- und Lebenshaltungskosten müssen wir die restlichen Mittel selbst aufbringen. Deshalb bitten wir herzlich um Spenden für Fadzai, Bonolo und Kearabetswe.

<div>* neue Impulse für die entwicklungspolitische Bildungsarbeit in Deutschland durch den direkten Austausch mit jungen Menschen aus dem globalen Süden.

<div>Unsere südafrikanischen Freiwilligen begleiten wir pädagogisch in ihrem Lerndienst und fördern zwischenmenschliche Begegnungen, interkulturellen Austausch sowie Wissens- und Erfahrungstransfer.

<div>Mit der Einführung der Süd-Nord-Komponente wurde das weltwärts-Programm entscheidend erweitert: Der entwicklungspolitische Anspruch des Austauschs wird sichtbarer, gleichberechtigte Partnerschaften zwischen Organisationen des globalen Südens und Nordens werden nachhaltig gestärkt und neue Perspektiven für gemeinsames globales Lernen entstehen.

<div>Support Our South African Volunteers
</div>

</div>
<div>This September, we are excited to welcome three young dedicated volunteers from South Africa — Fadzai, Bonolo, and Kearabetswe. They will begin a one-year voluntary service journey in Germany through the South-North exchange initiative of Friends e.V..
</div>

<div>Throughout the year, they will support people with disabilities and elderly residents at Rothenburger Werke, while also working with children at Ludothek Berlin. Their commitment, care, and unique perspectives will positively impact the communities they engage with, while also allowing them to grow through this intercultural experience.
</div>

</div>
<div>Although the program receives funding, only about 75% of the overall costs are covered. We are therefore raising support for the remaining expenses, including flights, educational preparation courses, and participation in everyday life during their time in Germany.
</div>

<div>Therefore, we warmly ask for donations to support these young volunteers.
