Help Me To Succeed in My Dream Of Being a Pilot
Donation protected
My name is Sergio, I am Argentine.
My dream from a very young age was to become a pilot, a mixture of dreams of my father who passed away when I was very young, and a small plane that to this day I have as that memory of dreams and efforts.
While I was growing up I never lost that dream of becoming a pilot from my mind, I grew up and began to see which was the best path for me, as I loved military aviation I wanted that to be my tool to be able to reach that dream, but I don't know gave and I had to start paying my flight hours at 18 years old.
In 2009 I started working at Aerolineas Argentinas (major Airline in Argentina) in the checking and after 5 years I moved to a Flight Dispatcher where I was near of the airplanes and pilots , and that was something that gave me many good moments and a world of aviation with which I grew.
With a lot of effort for 11 years I was paying for my flight hours in Argentina, I got to have the hours to go I needed to be an airline pilot, but life led me to not being a pilot in my country.
So I decided to sell everything I had in Buenos Aires (Argentina) to come to the USA to have a second chance.
Leaving everything behind, losing loved things in my life, including the person than I loved most, having to start all over again.
I did everything to reach my dream, but with everything I had, I could not finish my career.
It is a career that you never know how much more money will be missing, even working is very difficult for me because I am an immigrant.
Now after 1 year and a half, I have very little chance of supporting myself and paying for my studies.
Not only is it very expensive to fly since I have very little money left and it is not enough to be able to fulfill my dream as I really wanted to, but, in order to become an Airline Pilot, having a university degree is something that helps to be chosen. And that is a very high cost for an immigrant in the USA, without a support. Since I love aviation, I want to study Business Administration in aviation.
Now with the COVID-19 is worst, because the opportunities to become a pilot are not the best now and I'm with a study visa I cannot have a Sponsor Visa for the Airlines. Without this I have limited time to stay in USA (around 1 year more) , doing a degree I can stay more time, and have the opportunity to realize MY DREAM.
I hope that the people who read this see the effort I made all my life to fulfill a dream, which although many times it is difficult and sad because one leaves many things.
It is something that I never give up, that I work very hard to achieve, but it is impossible for me to finish my career without support.
