Subject Employee Fund

Donation protected

Like the rest of the city, we closed our doors on Sunday, the 15th for what will likely be the last time for a long time. We've had to lay off our entire staff so they can collect unemployment while we try to find a way to stay open/keep paying our bills.
The unemployment site and food stamps applications are overwhelmed with the influx of newly laid off servers, baristas, bartenders, and other individuals searching for a way to get through the coming months.
We've opened this GoFundMe in the hopes of providing our amazing team with some relief. This situation is scary enough without having to wonder if you can pay rent and buy groceries, or god forbid, cover an unexpected medical bill.
So, much like when you're at the bar, tip your bartenders. Show them the same warmth and compassion that they do for hundreds of customers every night across the bar. And if you can't donate, please post a message of love and encouragement, and then share this page.

In the meantime, we will be tirelessly working to keep Subject going, and to make sure that our team has a home bar to return to when that time comes.
