StartupBus For NOLA

New Orleans has an important place in the heart of the StartupBus community. And it makes sense that we give something to this great city.

 

Hurricane Ida has caused widespread devastation in their community and has impacted the lives of so many people across the state of Louisiana. This is why we're calling upon our community to raise $5,000 which we will give 100% of what we collect to an organization named NOLAvate Black.

 

NOLAvate Black has a vision to building a sustainable and accessible technology ecosystem in the Greater New Orleans Region which we support. We came across them because their founder, Sabrina Short, served as a judge during our 2019 competition.

"Through our NOLAvate Black diversity recruitment initiative, our goal is to connect diverse tech talent to companies that value inclusion and equity. Since January, we have posted over 250 jobs and have partnered with 50 companies to share open roles in tech. We are currently fundraising to expand our team to support the overwhelming response to build a tech talent pipeline that fosters a culture of inclusive innovation in our region. 

Your investment will go toward our goals to hire a full time community manager, secure a physical location to meet the needs of local job seekers and implement technology that will allow us to manage our growing talent pool.
