Stuff Happens- Nelson Family fund

Donation protected
Hello beautiful humans,

Let’s face it stuff happens. Whether we are expecting it, or it blindsides us.  Sometimes it is just a little bump in the road, or with circumstances beyond our control.  And sometimes it is a little more severe, and then it takes a community, family, friends, and strangers to come together to lift us up when we need it the most.  It is hard enough to go through a tough time, and even harder to ask for help when you need it the most.  I believe it shows strength to show your vulnerability, courage to accept help before you feel defeated, and heart to know you are not entitled to anything, but appreciate the most miniscule offerings.

I had discussed with Laura about starting a Go Fund Me, as her hubby was laying in the hospital, and her response was so true, beautiful and raw… “I can’t in my heart start a Go Fund Me, that if for people suffering way worse than we are, that if for Children with Cancer, or an unimaginable circumstance”

This is my request, based off of my dear friend’s heart and the need for compassion and humanity that is much needed in this world that is hurting now for so many horrible reasons.

1.  Give only what you are able, even if it’s $1.

2.  Please partake in our request for Random acts of Go Fund Me.  Find another Go Fund Me that is in need of your giving heart and give at least $1.

Let’s flood these accounts with Dollars that bleed into hundreds and thousands and more… let’s start a ripple effect that will not take much from you, but together will be an abundance. Let’s hold hands and help lift each other up as strangers, community, and just simply being a good human.

Info about the family:

While I know many of you are close to this dear family, for those of you unfamiliar with the details here is a brief explanation of what has happened.  A loving, loyal father of three has recently lost his primary source of income.  Which on its own is hard enough, but unfortunately, and as the old saying goes, “when it rains it pours.” Her husband “P”, was skateboarding just down the block, then he awoke in a pool of his own blood, in agonizing pain. To make it worse he has no memory as to how the accident occurred.  He has suffered a traumatic brain injury, concussion, fractured skull, ruptured eardrum, hearing loss, and temporary paralysis to the left side of his face.  After 2 long weeks in the hospital, and a lumbar drain, He is now on the road to recovery. There are no guarantees as to how quickly “P” will recover to full capacity.  He is a bright, strong, and a determined man. If anyone can defy odds, he will be the one.

Which brings me to the purpose of my note, join me and others as we seek to ease the burden on this loving family, as they make a recovery to their resumed life.  due to his traumatic brain injury, he is unable to work as he recovers. He was the main source of family income. Anything you can give would help, so think about how you can be a part of this with us, and help other families along the way.

Breath deep, pray hard. No matter who or what you believe in, there is always more than just you.  Whatever your faith or beliefs are, may you never lose hope and know that you never walk alone.

If you are unable to give now please help this family by keeping them in your hearts, thoughts, and prayers. What a gift it is to be in this thing called life…together!

Thank you without end,

Leigha
