Studying the Holocaust in Poland

Donation protected
I’m a junior at UNC Chapel Hill majoring in Jewish Studies and Sociology. This summer, I have the opportunity to take an honors study abroad course in Poland called, “The Texture of Memory: Jewish Life and the Holocaust.” The course is 5 weeks and is taught by two amazing members of UNC’s faculty. We will be traveling throughout Poland and Lithuania visiting what were once major centers of Jewish life in Europe and sites of genocide, as well as engaging with the current Jewish community in Poland.

Throughout my education, I have been blessed to receive support from others, whether it was the Mariann Hoag scholarship at the Roeper School or the Carolina Covenant at UNC. However, my financial aid does not cover summer programming. I have received $2,000 in scholarship towards the $6,000 total for this trip, and would greatly appreciate any support that helps me graduate with as little debt as possible.

If you’re interested in more details about the program feel free to email me or check out this link. http://honorscarolina.unc.edu/global-honors/poland/
