Studying Abroad in Luxembourg

Hello and welcome to my GoFundMe page! For those of you who don’t know me, I am Ashley Saenz and am a junior who goes to Sacred Heart University. I am a member of the Jack Welch College of business, where I double major in finance and economics with a minor in accounting. From hard work and countless hours studying I have been able to make the dean’s list every semester and from this have the opportunity to study abroad in Luxembourg this summer. This campaign is to help me raise the final amounts of funds I need for my study abroad trip. The class I will be taking in Luxembourg is called Behavioral Finance. In this course, I will be learning about financial risk management and look how financial institutions differ in other countries. I've spoken to a few people who have been on this trip already, and they said it was an incredible experience and they really learned a lot from this class. From this trip, I'm hoping to strengthen my skills in finance as well as understand how management runs in other countries. I will receive credit towards my undergraduate degree and will be taking this class at the satellite campus of Sacred Heart in Luxembourg and will be there for the duration of May. This is a special opportunity for me simply because this study abroad program is only offered once a year and the experience to study internationally will be a great benefit towards my finance and economic studies, future career, and most importantly help me get out of my comfort zone by trying something by myself and adapting to the new environment and  culture. I've already raised almost half of the funds on my own through a combination of working at the cheesecake factory and receiving a scholarship through the school. The donations from this GoFundMe will assist with travel costs, living expenses, books, and fees. I am consistently working hard every day to find different aids to cover costs as I am not one who likes to ask for help. This opportunity means a lot to me and I would appreciate the assistance from my family, friends, and peers. All individuals who would like to contribute to my future endeavors will not be disappointed and my hope is that you see the value of this program and that it opens your heart to make a contribution.
