COVID-19 has shifted business goals for many of us, causing pivots that weren't imagined and changes that show our true adaptability. As one of the top DJs in the Bay Area & a traveling artist, I was forced to refocus on the next steps of my career. So when the opportunity came, I knew this was my seat at the table.
It has always been a goal of mine to own a storefront that represents the many sides of my career, from fashion & sneakers to plant care & community events. As the co-founder and COO of one of Oakland's most successful creative platforms, Women Sound Off, I have first-hand experience at turning curation into craft. As the Director of Experience & Operations, I've planned & executed over 75+ events that have been celebrated by the likes of Forbes, The Guardian, SF Chronicle, KQED and more. It is my intention to continue this work with Studio Red.
Studio Red isn't just an event space or a retail store. It's a homecoming celebration for displaced creatives, local makers and small business owners across the Bay Area.
All donations will go towards keeping current operations running and converting the business to Studio Red. The space will be transformed to include the incorporation of community-led workshops to empower Black and Brown leaders, bringing awareness to over 25+ local vendors and providing a creative space for the most talented makers of Bay culture.
Any donation is greatly appreciated. I look forward to continue this work and am thankful for your support.
