After over ten years in my industry it is time for me to take the next step in my journey as a creator. With that being said I am currently working on opening my first studio location in the beginning of 2020. This is exciting, but it won't be easy. That is why I am reaching out for the support from friends, family and my social network. With all your help, dreams will be able to come true!
My name is Mark Isaac Stewart. I am a photographer, graphic design and creative director born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. I am now currently based in Atlanta, GA. In 2007 I began my journey in digital media during the early years of my time at Southern University A & M College for undergrad. Years later I have built my business Elite by Mark Isaac. Growing in my industry I have been able to work with hundreds of clients all over the world with not only graphic design projects and company branding, but facilitating amazing photo shoots and capturing the moments from one a person most special moments, their wedding.
I created this gofundme campaign to help raise funds to launch my first production studio. The goal of $10,000 will be used as start up funds for the space and the purchase of new equipment. The studio will not only be a place for me to work, but a space for other creatives to rent as well to work on photography, retouching and graphics. I plan to use the funds to:
- Launch the beginning stages of my digital media/photography studio.
- Facilitate workshops
-Purchase new equipment, computer and software
- Enhance my skills and explore other forms of photography.
-Provide a space for other photographers and designers to produce work.A Little Story About Me And Why Your Donation Would Help:
My business was actually started on accident. The short version is my since high school, my mom would send me out to take pictures of all of her listings with a point and shoot camera. Years later, one of my aunts got married and I had the camera with me. I took upon myself to take pictures of the whole wedding. I had no idea why, but it just felt right. So the wedding ends and I send give the pictures to my aunt. It somehow felt like I took more than the professional that was hired to be there. I gave them to her as a gift, and she turned around and told me she would pay for them, she loved them and wanted prints and slideshows on disc! That was my first sale! So of course I went and purchased my first camera, the Canon T3i. I went years with that camera and started the base of my company with it. A couple of years passed and I had done a number of weddings, events and photo shoots. I decided to move to Houston, TX in 2015. By this time i upgraded my camera to the Canon 5D III and spent a nice amount of change to get it. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst and my apartment was broken into. I was devastated, my equipment was stolen and I just wanted to give up. But I didn't. I managed to find ways to keep on going by renting equipment, networking with other pros and worked on rebuilding. (One of the most stressful periods of my journey...wheew!) Now, I am currently in Atlanta where things have really decided to look up. The only thing missing is place to create. You see I don't just want a studio space so I take pictures there and go home. I want so much more for Studio Elite.
The location will be a rental studio, which means if someone needs to rent the space to shoot they have somewhere to go. I also want to have a room with industry standard computers so photographers can retouch on, graphics designers can design on and neither one of them have to worry about affording the equipment or software. So the studio can generate money even when i'm not the only one utilizing it! Donors for this campaign will be added to an exclusive email list where they will receive future deals and discounts as a THANK YOU for the support.
