<div>We are a team of Curtin University students working on a design-and-build project in the Sundarbans, West Bengal, India. Hosted by Joygopalpur Gram Vikash Kendra (JGVK) — a local NGO dedicated to education, health, livelihoods, and environmental resilience — we’ll be collaborating with the community to create lasting infrastructure that supports children and families.

<div>Following last year’s scoping trip, our focus now is to design and construct spaces that encourage play, learning, and community wellbeing. Projects under consideration include upgrading the JGVK school playground and developing new recreational areas such as a cricket pitch and multi-sport court — facilities that foster inclusion, resilience, and joy for local children.
