Student loans & ER bills & exorbitant rent, oh my!

I feel incredibly foolish posting this, as there are far more worthy causes than mine. I'm blessed in that I don't have a child in the hospital or a burned home or a funeral to plan. But the sad truth of the matter is that I could use a little help.
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Amanda. Originally from west Texas. Texas Tech Red Raider. Lived in L.A. for 11 years. Now living in Austin. Dog mom. Generally optimistic about life.
I work full-time (plus OT) for a local housing authority -- a job I LOVE. I have a side gig maintaining a web site for a company in California. Yet I am still paying over half of my take-home income in rent for my modest one-bedroom apartment in south Austin.
I've tried looking for a different position, but the market for well-paying jobs is extremely tough at the moment. I've come close on a few of them -- so close that I could almost taste that sweet not-so-paycheck-to-paycheck life -- but none of them have ultimately panned out.
My amazing parents have helped out tremendously when they can, but I'm still barely keeping my head above water. I recently found out that I have run out of forbearance time on my student loans and I am at risk of default if I don't make a payment within the next 30 days. That's really hard to do when you barely have enough to pay for your car, car insurance, utilities, phone, etc. Complicating matters is the fact that I recently strained my back to the point I couldn't get out of bed and then ended up in the ER. The estimated fees for that visit alone are $1,200 (and that's with insurance).
Your help would ensure that I can make my student loan payments for the next two months, as well as some of that ER bill, while I make another big push for a better-paying job. So if there's any chance you can throw a few bucks my way, it would be so appreciated. I can't give anything in return but my appreciation and a vow to pay it forward whenever I can.
