Stuck in the Middle 15 Hour Batting Challenge

We are Earlestown Cricket Club and we are fundraising for our historic club and also to support our local foodbank. Founded in 1882 ECC is in its 140th year and has a rich history with several former players representing Lancashire and even England. Now playing in the Southport and District league our volunteer run club has made terrific progress over the last few years culminating this year in the return of our 2nd team. 
We have been working hard to establish ourselves as a key part of our community, we have built a thriving junior section and built close links with local schools, charitable organisations and created 4 cricket teams.
We get no support from the social club and we have to raise money to tend the grounds and create cricket pitches.
The money we raise each year barely covers our outlay and to improve our facilities is impossible without this type of fundraising. As a club we have to fundraise to survive and with the affects of the pandemic still being felt in our community we have decided to do this fundraiser.
Our captain is going to bat for 15 hours in a batting cage. All monies raised will go to help continue our work at the club and also to the local foodbank to help them continue to feed those most in need. With the pressure of the impending rise on the cost of living and the energy price cap increase by the time Summer is here we could be facing the worst food crisis in recent times. They will need all the support we can give them.
By reaching our target we guarantee our survival and improvement as well as making a sizeable contribution to the foodbank at St Johns Church. To be able to support our local community and continue to provide cricket means the world to us and our skipper and if he can complete this challenge the difference we can make to people in our area will be immeasurable.
