Stuart Bell Honoree Homeless Gala

I am being honored with the Key of Hope Award from the Los Angeles Youth Network on September 23rd here in my Hollywood neighborhood at the Neuehouse.  This gala dinner promises to be a wonderful evening and will feature the organization’s Ambassadors and Honorary Co-Chairs “The Chainsmokers.” 

I am extremely humbled to be receiving this honor from an organization that I am so passionate about.  The Los Angeles Youth Network provides shelter, psychological support, education, clothing, food and so much more to our city’s homeless youth ages 12-17.  I got involved several years ago and have been so impressed and amazed at the incredible work of this organization.  They truly turn the lives around for these youth who are so vulnerable on our streets in Hollywood.  Their “homes” are located on Taft Street here in Hollywood and provide a beautiful and safe haven for these youth--often the first one they have ever known. 

Because I believe so much in the work of LAYN, I am happy to be bold in my request for your support.  Yes, personally it would mean a lot to me because of our friendship.  But, more importantly, it will mean that this organization can continue to grow and thrive in helping this often invisible and overlooked segment of our society.  I truly can’t imagine my son Quentin being homeless and on the streets of Hollywood at 12 years old.  The stories I have heard break my heart but also make me more determined than ever to help.

Since I know that many of my friends and family won't be able to physically come, I've set up this Fund Me Page so that you can participate in helping these amazing children who deserve a loving home.  Every dollar counts to please be as generous as you can.  I imagine the event will be filmed so I'll post it on Facebook afterwards.
