In honor of Stu Lessner, we are collecting a fund to help pay for his memorial and celebration of his life.
Stu was an unheralded champion of set operations. He was a DGA 1st AD on some of the biggest music videos ever produced. He also assistant directed hundreds of commercials that we've all seen everyday, from Super Bowl mainstays to the smallest "spec" shoots for no money. Stu treated every job like it was his last. And he treated the people he worked with like family.
Stu was a leader, teacher and role model. He always took the time to communicate values to the younger generation. He always led with his actions. His last resort was to use his voice. In his last few years of work, he economized everything he did because he become a master.
Stu was a beloved man survived by his wife Maha, son Eddie, sister Robyn and mother Jillian. He was also connected to thousands of production personnel including some of the most famous directors, actors, producers and writers in Hollywood.
