<div>It is with the heaviest heart that I share the passing of Alayna Ann Race. A sweet soul taken from us at just 16 years young. Alayna was known by many as “Ace”, and “Beanie” by her family. Alayna was a bright light in this world and made a deep impact on those she knew. Her smile could brighten anyone’s day and often did. She was a Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Friend, and more.

<div>Alayna enjoyed spending time in nature, exploring waterfalls and plants, putting together puzzles with her family, music and dancing, and most recently, learning how to knit. She just loved to learn about the world around her. When Alayna wasn’t exploring, she was a home body. Alayna had an immense love for animals and spending time with her pets. She leaves behind two chihuahuas, four cats, and a bearded dragon.

<div>Alayna was seen as an old soul. Finding joy in vintage fashion and jewelry, collecting trinkets that were sure to spark conversation, and buying a Volkswagen Beetle as her first car. Alayna was a determined girl, she was never one to give up on a dream no matter how big or small. She had big plans for her future and she was working hard to make sure she created the life that she had always wanted. This past year, Alayna was working two jobs while attending high school. She saved every penny to buy her dream car. Unfortunately, she was only able to drive the beetle twice. Alayna aspired to work in pediatrics and obstetrics.

<div>What Alayna wanted more than anything was to help others. Alayna was the most empathetic person I knew. She always knew how to be there for anyone in need. She was gentle and loving and genuine. Alayna’s passing has sent a ripple through the community. She was far too precious for this world.

<div>At this time, her family is asking for support with costs related to her funeral and memorial services as well as help with the financial burden associated with being out of work as they grieve their sunshine girl.
