Struggling Hardworking Family

This is about my best friend. We have been friends since growing up on the same street-over 40 years!  She has never had an easy life. With both her pregnancies she had severe hyperemesis that left her nearly housebound attached to IV fluids constantly. When her son entered college 6 yrs ago, she took a 2nd job. They have never had a new car or gone on vacation. She works in a hotel boutique and is unable to take any time off during high tourism times (Mar-Dec). She has had a series of health crises and accidents that have caused her almost constant pain, yet she works double shifts most days. On off days she helps out as a personal aide to an elderly woman. For years she was a cancer buddy to her friend, taking her to all appts, surgeries and treatments–and was crushed when she passed. Before that, she was the primary caregiver for her ailing mother-in-law. Thru it all she has remained positive and strong in her faith. She is the first to reach out a hand to help anyone (she actually saved someone’s life).  Several years ago she had a complicated surgery to her ankle which kept her out of work for 12 weeks.  Last year, her husband had a stroke. Luckily there was no permanent physical damage.  But the bills are steep due to very high deductibles for the only insurance they can afford, and they both missed a lot of work during his recovery.  In September, she underwent a total hysterectomy because of a large fibroid and again was out of work for almost two months.  The combined hospital bills are astronomical and her daughter has one more year before college.  Any donations would be used to pay down the mounting medical bills so that she and her husband do not have to take on third jobs.  Thank you.
