Hello world :)
My name is Isabel Seda from STRONG ROOTS PROJECT and I want to support children in Africa
by giving them hope for a better future.
For that we need to break through old systems of violence, overpopulation and environmental pollution by opening new perspectives of education…
Yes, this sounds like a big plan, but if politics fail, we have to stand up and act ourselves and start with little steps and big dreams.
My step will be a travel to Africa with a motivated and experienced team - sharing art and mindfulness workshops with young people in poor regions.
Our first school to visit will be in Ghana (www.sorinatu.org
We want to spend around 3 weeks with the children sharing:
• Mindfulness practices as meditation&yoga with a portuguese organisation called "O pequeno Buda
• Art&craft workshops and paintings for the school walls
• Instrument-manufacturing using recycled materials
• Building a "keyhole" garden out of "eco-bricks"
• Woman circles with the teeny girls sharing about menstruation and offering washable pads
• Strenghten consciousness towards nature
If this makes sence to you as well, please support our project.
We need to have enough financial bases to can cover our travel expenses and buy the materials we need…
We all work as volunteers and don´t earn anything from this. All donations go 100% to the project.
I will keep you updated and record during our time in Ghana to be able to release a film afterwards.
THANK YOU !!!
