Help 12 year old Binn Aissa beat cancer.

Summary and update: 05/11/2020

In June 2020, a 12 year old triplet called BA (Binn Aissa) was diagnosed with left shoulder/arm osteosarcoma, the most common form of bone cancer in children and adolescents.

Osteosarcoma is often treated with a combination of therapies that can include surgery, chemotherapy and occasionally radiation therapy.

BA was told he had to undergo 3 months of chemotherapy known as neoadjuvant therapy followed with a limb-salvage surgery then another few months of chemotherapy depending on the tumour biopsy result.

In August 2020, while BA was having his neoadjuvant therapy, his mother Hanane was diagnosed with an aggressive gastric cancer called adenocarcinoma and was also tested positive for H. Pylori (a bacteria which can be related to gastric cancer).

In October 2020, BA’s father caught Covid19, fell into a coma and had a stroke. He is now unable to move the right side of his body and is still in Hospital far away from his family.

Before Covid19, my children used to hang out with the triplets (BA, his brother Kacem and his sister Titima) during the Summer holidays in Morocco.

They are a very humble, caring, friendly and loving family.

This family is going through an incredible amount of hardship. We cannot even begin to imagine the difficulties they are facing, nor how Hanane and BA are staying positive through these unprecedented times.

BA has a passion for football and throughout his chemotherapy, he continued to involve himself in football matches and supported his team even when he found it hard.

We would like to do whatever we can to help and support them in these difficult times.

A few months ago, my daughter, Yusra (12 years old), came up with the idea of setting up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to help them and now is  more determined than ever to reach many good souls.

To continue their treatments, they need financial and emotional support.
Please, donate whatever amount of money you can afford - no amount is too small, share this link, pray for them and send them your positive thoughts.

Every little helps.

“At the beginning of June, a twelve year old boy, very close to us found out that he has a type of bone cancer called osteosarcoma in his left shoulder/upper arm. His name is BA. BA is one of the triplet. He has one brother and one sister. He has a passion for football and is very friendly.

When we all found out, we were (and still are) extremely anxious for his health to return. We would like to do everything to help our family-friend in this difficult stage of his life; so we decided to make a Go Fund Me account.

In Morocco, the Health care services works very differently than in the UK.

In the UK, we have the NHS and many cancer charities to help everyone through cancer. In Morocco, it can take a while for the government to help patients, therefore patients have to use private care which is, of course, not free.

The price of treating cancer is very high where they live, and it is not always easy to find the money to pay.

With the money raised from this Go Fund Me fundraiser, we will help pay the expenses of BA’s treatment, and we will help him fight through cancer, because ‘We are stronger than Cancer,  We are stronger Together’.

Please help BA through this tough time in his life. ‘We are stronger than Cancer, We are stronger Together’.”

The above, is written by my 12 year old daughter, Yusra who is a close friend to the triplets and meets them regularly on Holidays in Morocco when we visit our family.

BA’s Osteosarcoma although is an aggressive cancer, is caught early and it would likely take about a year or so for the treatment which is 12 weeks of Chemotherapy followed by a surgery then another course of chemotherapy.

BA has started chemotherapy about 3 weeks ago. We would like him to continue his treatment. That is why my daughter and I are launching this GoFundMe to raise as much money as possible to help BA ‘s treatment to continue and go smoothly.

We are optimistic and hopefully BA and his family will go through this difficult time with the faith and support of people around them.
