Medical Fund for a Strong Dad of 3

Some of you may know that a few years a go my boyfriend and I decided that I would stop working to raise our 3 kids. It was tuff on both of us, emotionally, mentally and finiancially. In March of this year we decided that the kids are getting bigger and will be off to school soon so I would start working again to help out our family. My mom helped me find a per diem position at a local hospital that she worked at before. We started to get back on track financially and everything was going great.

In May my boyfriend started to complain of abdominal pain and other discomforts. Kaiser told him he had food poisoning, gave him an IV, some meds and sent him on his way. Weeks passed and he still felt sick. A few weeks later he went back to Kaiser because he could take the pain anymore. They ran tests said his intestines were inflammed and medication would help. They gave him another IV, meds and sent him on him on his way AGAIN. Fast forward a few months, a few more Dr appointments, medication and no answers as to why he is feeling so ill on August 12th, he tells me to take him to the hospital but not to Kaiser, but to take him to the hospital I work at. We're there for a few hours and the nurse practitioner on duty orders scans of his abdonen and all the lab work you can think of. The scan of his abdomen shows a large mass (tumor) in his stomach the size of a baseball. When you hear the word tumor, almost everything else they are saying to you in that moment slowly fades. It really is like the way you see it in the movies.I have never seen my partner so scared before. It terrified me to the core. He was later transferred to Kaiser and stayed in the hospital for 5 days. They ran every test possible and took a biopsy of the mass. August 21, the Dr gives him the biopsy results and says that the tumor he has in is stomach is Stage 1 Carcinoid Cancer. We've cried, talked and decided we wouldnt tell the kids. When he was in the hospital and we would visit and it became time for us to go home, the kids would cry, cry that they didnt want to leave, or cry becasue they wanted him to come home. Mathew asked in the car if it was ok to pray, I told him yes, pray now, pray whenever you fell like you need. God is always listening. Mathew prayed in the car, he asked God to make his daddy fell better, Miakela asked for her daddy to get better so they can color and Maddison prayed for her daddy to help her color too (she just copied what Mikaela said). If seeing him in the hospital made them that scared then I didn't want them to know.

Art is very STRONG and will get through this. I'm asking for your help because with both of us taking time off work to go to appointments, surgery, medical bills and post treatment, the last thing I want him to think about is the financial part of it. I want him to stay positive and not worry about anything else. Thank you for all your support and prayers.
