Life comes at you fast! Never in a million years do you consider one of your family members will be healthful one day and sick as can be the next.
As some of you may know, Don recently fell ill and has undergone a host of tests over the last few months. Initially Don was diagnosed with Lymphoma. We were anxious for further details so we could determine an action plan and dig our heels in for a fight. We received news from the oncologist this morning that Don does not have Lymphoma but rather, stage 4 esophageal cancer which has grown to his stomach and unfortunately other parts of his body.
“Don the Beer Man Strong” is a heck of a salesman and has enjoyed his sales jobs, although in sales if you don’t work, you don’t get paid! We all know Don is stubborn so he's tried to make it to work as he has tried to continue some level of normalcy and never wants to put his co-workers out but reality is he needs to save what energy he can muster for his chemo treatments. The prognosis is not a good one and we want Pops and GG to enjoy the time they do have left together and not spend their time worrying about financial burdens. We are fortunate enough to have great medical coverage but nothing supplemental to help with lost wages.
Although, difficult to reach out and ask for help, we would be eternally grateful for any type of generosity you deem appropriate. Prayers, love and thoughts are gladly accepted as well!
