Strengthening the Souls of Leaders

Whether once a Sierra Leonean child soldier or a Colombian World Vision Youth Ambassador, a current Brazilian stay-at-home mother in Switzerland or a Johns Hopkins post-doc Ghanaian in the USA, the fifteen country CEOs of The HuD Group each have unique God stories and are worth every investment to make their world, our world, more of what God has always intended it to be through godly, effectual servant-leadership.

From 22nd to 26th November, 2017 under the theme “Strengthening the Soul of our Leadership,” these men and women who inform, inspire and invigorate emerging leaders in their various contexts on five continents will be meeting in Egypt to rest and renew their souls in God’s person, with God’s people and in God’s places. In an atmosphere of communal learning, sharing and accountability regarding leading with soul, they will deeply connect with fellow CEOs beyond the surface for the optimal spiritual and emotional health, needed to lead well and love well.

Why Egypt? First, to encourage the Egyptian Church with our presence and in practical ways (our physicians will reach out to physicians, pastors encourage pastors, and all engage in various projects). The minority but significant body of Christ in Egypt, understandably, frequently feels forgotten by the rest of us, and could definitely use our presence and encouragement.

Secondly, it is a total ‘God-incidence’ that our confab, themed on Ruth Haley Barton’s work, “Strengthening the Soul of your Leadership,’ is based on the life and leadership of Moses. How better and where better to contextualize this than in the very land of the Prince of Egypt?

While each leader is being challenged to own their own raise the cost of their own ticket to get there in the first place, The HuD Group globally is raising funds to sponsor each participant’s room and board and learning resources while in Egypt hence this $12,240 fundraiser.

Investing in leaders like these yield the best return on your investment as they also raise other leaders who raise other leaders who raise many more to impact the various spheres of our nations and the world.

Thank you in anticipation of a favourable response.
