Strength for Tommie

Donation protected
As some of you may know my mother, Tommie is diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. For some of you who have known my family for a while may think this sounds all to familiar. Unfortunately, that is the case. Yes, she is diagnosed for a second time with ovarian cancer.
This time it is more progressed.  All of my mom treatments are coming out of pocket due to no medical insurance. So financially we are struggling. We are not the type to ask for handouts but as things aren’t going very well we want to know that we did everything possible to help our mom.

My mom gave life to 7 kids and has been mothering for 31 years now. Most of you know what the role of mothering means, you always put your children's needs before your own . My mom was sick for several years and finally my senior year in high school she went to the doctors and they weren't completely sure without further testing but they know that it is stage 4 cancer. My mom thinking that not telling was protecting us, kept her health from the family. My sister and I became suspicious shortly after. When September rolled around our suspicions had grew as she had been going to oxygen treatments we had done some research into reasons for oxygen treatments and among others, cancer stood out, and we figured it was time to ask. She bluntly said I have cancer, with a chuckle me and my sister start laughing because she can’t have cancer, not again. It completely broke me, everyone saw that something had happened. My attitude and energy completely changed.

Since then I have tried to help her in anyway. Her well being has been taking a toll lately which has made it ever more apparent that things are happening to quickly. Her spirit is starting to dwindle which as most of you know is completely out of character. She's the type that if you need uplifted or motivated she always had the right things to say.For the past few months she has been doing alternative treatments; surgery was out of the question because it's simply just to expensive.I dont want to loose my mom because “it is simply too much”. I am creating this go fund me account because I can’t continue to be in the dark and not know anything. Without the funds we are unable to know more about her diagnosis or the recommended course of treatment from the physicians. As such, any size donation would be so greatly appreciated.
