Street Friends fundraiser, covid19 response

With Covid19 lockdown and extension, we cannot accept any donations at our premises from members of the public, keeping everyone safe.
PLEASE SHARE if you are unable to donate, or even if you can, awareness helps too.  Even a few pennies, can help save a life.

For one average week over 7 days, we see over 400 people.  You can see the costs incurred.  £5 for a meal & drink up to £50 for a meal, drink, care package, warm & essential clothing, covid safety, blanket/sleeping bag. So you see why when we need 4-500 times that amount we struggle.

We have teamed up with Fresh community wellness and now offer full signposting, safe choices, befriending, peer support, naloxone supply & volunteer training.  Helping those in need, progress towards sustainability.

PLEASE help us continue our 7 days, twice-weekly welfare service, for those most in need.  Thank you.

We have an urgent push on. Food parcels, Hot Meals, Toiletries, and much more.

We offer 7 mornings & evenings a week street welfare outreach checks and twice-weekly full evening outreach; emergency meals & provisions:  take the time to talk to everyone with befriending; safe choices and if/when required we can make direct referrals/signpost to other professional services/charities/groups. Our ACVO registered constitution registered community group, is operating as a frontline 'Welfare Service.
We are Licensed with Aberdeen City Council.  Fully insured, our new bank account, with funding applied for to secure premises lease and more.
However, to apply for grants and funding streams we need a year's projection, coupled with the efforts we have already made.  Such this involves having done our own fundraising, money paid in by the committee themselves, and a project online to raise funds for, as well as daily operations.

GoFundMe donations are a huge help for everyone in need and Street Friends progression.

With the daily outreach sessions Mon to Sun talking to rough sleepers. We can spend a bit more time doing befriending one-to-one and have been successfully enabling 'safe choices' to be offered to all, along with 'signposting'.  Everyone is offered these options, enabling all a chance of progression whenever they feel ready.

Providing the best we can to those most in need. #isolated #homeless #vulnerable #poverty stricken.
