Enables countless of inner city students the gift
of Catholic Education
St. Peter Cathedral School, "The School with a Heart in the Heart of the City" celebrates 185 years of educating generations of families. An elementary school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, DE, we service children Pre-K to Eighth Grade. The Daughters of Charity who administer the school along with a dedicated faculty have the unique privilege of molding and transforming lives on a daily basis.
St. Peter Cathedral School bases its mission on providing quality education for youth in a value-rich environment where children of varied cultural and religious backgrounds come together sharing the richness of their heritage and building a climate of understanding and respect for self and others.
Why is our mission so important? Because these principles and values don’t just disappear when our students graduate! St. Peter alumni often stop in to visit and share their fond memories and boast that they are who they are today because of the education and values they received at St. Peter Cathedral School- some two, three, four, and five decades ago!
Over the years, Catholic schools have played a major role in shaping communities throughout the world. I’m sure that you recognize the vital role Catholic education plays in the lives of our students. Since we provide a faith-based atmosphere, we continue to instill Christian values into our students. The Help-A-Student Program enables countless students to benefit from the gift of Catholic education. Through this program, St. Peter's has been able to provide tuition assistance to underprivileged families. We can personally attest to the life-changing benefits that our school environment has provided to students educationally and morally.
