Han kan inte själv förstå eller hantera den juridiska process som nu påverkar hans framtid.

 Georges behandlande läkare har bedömt att han inte kan genomföra en internationell resa på ett säkert sätt och att en flytt från hans nuvarande vårdmiljö skulle medföra risk för ökad förvirring, desorientering, fall och en betydande försämring av hans redan sköra hälsa.

 Georges migrationsärende har nått ett brådskande skede. Den ordinarie överklagandeprocessen är avslutad. Vår familj har juridisk rådgivning och stöd på plats, men vi behöver hjälp med att finansiera fortsatt specialistrepresentation och de brådskande juridiska åtgärder som hans ärende kan kräva. Den omedelbara tidsfrist vi arbetar mot är den 20 augusti 2026.

 My name is Amiee, and I am raising funds for my grandad, George.

 George is 74, a British citizen, and has made his home in Sweden for many years. He lives with advanced dementia and complex health conditions and requires specialist care, supervision and assistance around the clock. He cannot understand or manage the legal process that now affects his future.

 George's treating physician has assessed that he cannot safely undertake international travel and that moving him from his current care environment would risk increased confusion, disorientation, falls and a significant deterioration in his already fragile health.

 George's immigration case has reached an urgent stage. The ordinary appeal process has concluded. Our family has legal advice and support in place, but we need help funding continued specialist representation and any urgent legal action his case may require. The immediate deadline we are working towards is 20 August 2026.

 The 50,000 SEK fundraising target is an initial goal. The precise cost of the continuing legal work has not yet been finally established. We will update the fundraiser as the costs become clearer and explain openly how the money is used. Funds will be used for George's legal case and costs directly connected with it.

 At this stage of his life, my grandad cannot advocate for himself or manage this process alone. We are trying to give him the specialist and careful legal support that his situation requires.
