Stormy's ICU and other medical costs

Donation protected

Stormy the Wondercat is the goodest boi ever. He comes when he's called, he's friendly to all our guests, he loves and snuggles us daily. When we realized how seriously ill he was we were lucky we had savings, otherwise we would have had to put him to sleep. We paid whatever they asked. But his costs keep going up, and we know there are more costs to come. Just a dollar or two from each of our friends would be so helpful and appreciated. Even if we don't get nearly to our goal, every little bit helps. We need the savings we've spent already for bills, (and we aren't done caring for him yet!) and our credit sucks, frankly, oops, so CareCredit is not an option.

He is 13 which is not young and has severe heart disease. He needed oxygen therapy. He needed fluid drained from his chest (so anesthesia, IV all that) so he could breath. He needs diuretics to keep the fluid from building up again, but because he already had a congenital malformation of one kidney, he's having complication from that medicine. And we had to take him to out regular clinic three times before they figured out what was wrong with him and sent us to Tufts!

I just couldn't say no to trying to save the kitteh who never left my side all through my cancer treatment, checking out visiting nurses and friends alike, protecting me and comforting me. I've been so homebound and lonely since my cancer left me forever changed, and he's been my constant companion. And Jason just adores him. After a long day in the rain and the snow sampling dirt and water for toxic chemicals, his time with Flister (his nickname) rejuvenates him, and the two of them curl up together to sleep. Our kids adore him too, of course. He was the only cat our autistic son would agree to adopt... He certainly picked the best.

I didn't even ask for financial assistance when I had cancer. It's funny how you will do things for your pets you won't even do for yourself, isn't it? It's hard for me to ask for help, but it would be irresponsible for me not to. Thanks for listening to my tale and if you can't give, at least SHARE, especially with your animal loving friends.

Happy Holidays and blessings upon all your furry family members.
