96 Hour Famine and Virtual Protest Rally

It is shocking that in 2021, many people are still not aware of The Yulin Festival or the dog and cat meat trade.
Hi, my name is Jana and I created our STOP The Dog & Cat Meat Trade And END The Yulin Festival Forever petition on change.org http://chng.it/VTnw879Mgr and I am the co-creator of The Fellowship of Ravens.

The Yulin Festival was created in 2009 to boost a dying industry. Since then it takes place every year in Yulin, Guangxi, China during the summer solstice from June 21st to June 30th. This year they have changed the name to The Yulin Solstice Festival, which is just one of the many ways they mislead the media and the public into believing it has been cancelled. This type of tactic often works and causes people to not speak out.
During the Festival 10,000 - 15,000 dogs, many just puppies are tortured, butchered and consumed during this Festival. These numbers do not even account for the lives of the cats and other animals that they also slaughter.
And it is estimated that each year in China alone, they butcher 10 million dogs and 4 million cats for the meat trade.
Some of the victims are raised in meat farms; others are vulnerable strays and household dogs, cats and other pets. These animals are abducted from their homes, porches, backyards, and some are taken while on walks with their families.
Each year that the Festival and the dog and cat meat trade continues we must use our voice and speak up for these animals. They DO NOT have the luxury of tomorrow.
We firmly believe that is it our responsibility as a collective humanity to stand together and protect all animals from any abuse whatsoever. And we are respectfully standing with the activists and Chinese people that are trying to stop these barbaric rituals and to help those whose pets and family members have been hurt by the Festival and the dog and cat meat trade.
We need to show the Chinese Government that we are not going away.
We will NOT remain silent, and we will NOT stop protesting!
We are going to keep this fight going year after year until the Chinese Government organizes and passes legislation that would forever ban the slaughter of dogs and cats in China. And create a punishable offence for anyone guilty of harsh treatment, confinement, transport, slaughter, neglect - or any form of animal abuse.
But we need your help to do it. Your donations will assist us in so many ways, including purchasing ads, assisting with costs, distributing information such as flyers and posters. We also need your help to fund rallies, to assist organizations with purchasing much needed supplies such as food, bedding, toys and medicines. We will also be donating to charities and not-for-profits that are working to save these defenceless animals. And one of our goals that we are working tirelessly towards is opening a sanctuary that will assist in rescuing dogs, cats and other animals from the meat trade.
With each passing year that the Festival and the dog and cat meat industry continues, it is easy to get discouraged. Still, we must remain united to stop the suffering and torture of these defenceless animals.
We cannot falter or give in to fear and allow our voices to be silenced.
We need to join together and stand united.
Just as these animals protect us; we must protect them.
They stand with us on battlefields, guide us through the darkness and assist us through a world without sound. They push past their pain to ensure our happiness. An animals trust, loyalty and love, is a purity we need to treasure, not exploit.
