Today I ran into a young family with a seven month old baby. THrough a series of things found out that though she didnt ask me for anything she needs to pay rent immediatly or face eviction. Her five day notice has expired. Her return date is December 4th. She has two charges, 85.00 and 76.00 to the court as well her rent is 800.00. She paid 150.00 towards October and thats it. Her husband starts school in January and will begin recieving those funds on his GI in December. They are both actively seeking jobs. He is a painter by trade.
She has cashier and light office experience. Im trying to keep it brief so this may not sound compelling but her nature and mannerism captured my heart. I listed to a sermon I had been trying to listen to for over a week this morning. In that sermon it spoke of obedience. Obedience is a part of my faith that I really strive for, its one of my most important personal foundations for everything I make a decision about. God put it on my heart this afternoon to make sure this family, whom I wont meet until tommorow when they bring me my purchase, to have thier rent paid in full when they arrive. I recently paid rent for a lady in florida I never met, a tuition for a lady in Texas and another ladies rent in Virginia Beach. The sermon today spoke about gathering a group that makes itself strong and I was led to try to collect help for this particular family from that word. I am asking if God puts it on your heart to help them then be obedient. everyone cannot save all. We all have our directions given to us to follow. Keep in mind ANY amount will help. I am buying a mermaid statue for 45.00 that she is delivering from willoughby to . Thats how I started talking to her. She posted it a week ago and I inquired. Every once in a while she asked me if I wanted it. She did not willingly give me her woes. I am especially adept at extracting things.......its my nature and vocation.
