<div>The Isle of Skye, world renowned for its unique landscape, is facing proposals for 10 wind farms with up to 150 turbines..many 200m high. This will industrialise the island and change its character beyond recognition.

<div>The two smaller wind farms on Skye already produce ten times the electricity the island uses. The new proposals will result in the destruction of wildlife, peatland and rare habitats. The noise and visual intrusion will damage the tourist industry upon which the island depends.

<div>Any funding you can give here will help the Skye Windfarm Information Group fight the planning applications from the giant private equity companies that are backing the new wind farms. Monies will be used to hire expert legal and planning advice, pay for campaign materials, banners, posters etc.

<div>Any funds remaining if the Skye Windfarm Information Group disbands will be donated to local Skye charities.
