<div>Gorham has the opportunity to reconsider a 94-acre land sale that would bring a 24/7 Amazon last-mile warehouse to one of the most valuable development parcels in town.

<div>To withdraw from the purchase and sale agreement, the Town must cover the cost of backing out. We are raising $135,000 to make sure taxpayers are not left footing that bill and to give Gorham the chance to pursue a smarter alternative.
</div>

<div>First, we need to raise $5,000 to retain a law firm to work on our behalf.  Volunteers are working hard to fight amazon at the Gorham planning board and the Maine DOT and DEP - but it's time to hire a lawyer.

<div>Why this matters:

</div>
<div>• A 24/7 warehouse means constant semi-truck and delivery van traffic, long-term road damage, and increased safety risks near neighborhoods and an elementary school.
</div>

</div>
<div>• The projected tax revenue is modest relative to the size and value of the land, and may not outweigh long-term infrastructure costs.
</div>

</div>
<div>• This 94-acre parcel could support higher-value commercial, mixed-use, or housing development that generates stronger tax revenue per acre with fewer impacts.
</div>

<div>This is not about stopping development. It is about smart development.
