Stop Ethylene Oxide in Lake County, IL

Stop EtO in Lake County is a citizen-led movement. We aim to raise awareness of cancer-causing Ethylene Oxide (EtO) emissions in Lake County, IL and to eliminate EtO from our air.  Ethylene Oxide is being emitted into our backyards in alarming amounts by two facilities, Vantage Specialty Chemicals and Medline.  This invisible and odorless toxic gas is a scientifically proven class 1A carcinogen and MUTAGEN. The science is indisputable. Lake County children are breathing in a carcinogen and mutagen daily and they face an elevated risk of health problems (with cancer being the worst of many possible diseases). This situation is immoral and completely unacceptable.
