Stonie’s medical bills

After 6 days in the hospital, Stone is finally home with us and it’s been the sweetest time that I didn’t think I would ever have again a week ago. Last week he had a sudden urinary blockage and his bladder almost burst. A LOT of sad and difficult things happened over the course of last week with many phone calls of bad news after bad news, but i’m trying to keep this short.

He finally got to come home with us and we cried so many tears of happiness after crying so many sad tears for days!!!! Right now, we’re sooooo happy to have him here with us, but every day is so stressful and incredibly high-maintenance with meds and keeping a close eye on him, and it’s especially stressful when he goes long times without peeing because it triggers me and sends me into paranoia and an emotional downward spiral. 

If he blocks again our only options are to do a complicated (complicated especially because he’s obese) surgery that cost 3,000$ or to euthanize him. Even hearing or typing that word and confronting that possibility makes me cry. He’s only 4 years old. My heart would be completely broken and it’s already broken just seeing him in pain. HE SITS IN HIS LITTER BOX AND LOOKS AT ME and he cries and cries and cries. 

His vet bills have already been 5,000$ and i’ve completely drained my savings and have opened multiple credit cards. I have no clue what i’m going to do if he needs this surgery. I’m just needing a little help right now, despite how uncomfortable it is to ask friends and family for money. 10$ would even mean so much to me. I just love him so much. I got him right when I graduated college and we’ve been through so many transitions and tough times together and he’s been my rock through it all. He’s only 4 years old and i’m doing everything possible to be there for him and keep him going because he has his whole life ahead of him. He’s the sweetest, most loving, funniest, quirkiest, naughtiest, hotheaded, smartest, playful, cuddly baby in the world… and so freaking cute!!!!! Everyone who knows him knows this. And everyone who knows me knows how much he means to me. ❤️
