Saving Stonelight Tile in San Jose

Stonelight Tile is a custom tile company with a 97-year history in San Jose, California. Previously forced to move due to a polluting neighbor business, Stonelight is faced with the difficult task of finding a new home again today. Due to their current landlord's refusal to renew or extend their lease, Stonelight Tile must vacate their South 1st Street location by October 31, 2017.
This short timeline presents significant challenges given the amount of equipment and materials that require moving and the uncertainty surrounding where their future home may be. In addition to other medium-term needs, the support Stonelight needs most now is related to moving.
The estimated cost of moving (including some of the renovations that will likely be required in their new home) is in excess of $25,000. Moving includes dismantling of the existing showroom, moving to a new location, truck and fork lift rental (heavy items include desks, display cabinets, and large lava stone facades and murals), setting up the business in the new location, including construction, electricity, plumbing, painting and telecommunications.
