Like many cafes, Stonefruit Espresso + Kitchen has had to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic in order to protect its employees, our guests, and the Bed-Stuy community.
While we are looking into many other means to support each other during this time, we're also calling on you, our neighbors and friends to help.
Stonefruit would be nothing without my incredible, hardworking team. They are the life force, creativity and joy behind everything we do and provide for our community. They feel like my family, and I am heartbroken at no longer being able to provide them with their main source of income. But we are strong. Together we've weathered many a storm, and this one is no different.
None of us has ever experienced anything quite like this before, and I wish we weren't in this situation. But the unemployment website keeps crashing, and there's no relief in sight for small businesses from the local and federal government. My team needs your help now... I need your help. My financial goal is the total of our payroll for my 20 employees for a four week period. If you are in a better position than others, please consider spreading that love around and donating what you can to the Stonefruit Staff Relief Fund!
