Stolen Intern Firefighter Gear

My name is Dalton Garcia and I moved to Davis about a year and a half ago with my girlfriend. On Friday, March 9, I went to leave our apartment complex at around 6am and noticed that my truck had been broken into. They got into my double-locked toolbox in the back and completely emptied it out, along with taking my subwoofers and some other miscellaneous items that were in my truck. The most important thing that was stolen though, was all my gear for the fire department that I intern for. This included my full set of turnouts, helmet, boots, gloves, helmet light, SCBA mask, uniform, medical pack, and a couple other fire things. Besides the SCBA mask that was loaned out to me by the fire department, I purchased everything else that is listed above with my own money.   When I bought all this gear, almost 2 years ago, I emptied out my savings to do it because it cost more than $4,000. My girlfriend and I have been trying every possible route to spread the word hoping my gear would be returned, but no luck so far. Unfortunately, now I will have to purchase another set  in order for me to finish out my  internship. I am not in a financial situation to be able to afford that again, so anything that you can contribute will help me immensely. I have filed an insurance claim, however if you have ever filed a claim, you know that they like to claim depretiation and limit what they have to pay as much as possible .  Any additional money will be donated and go towards fire equipment at the fire department I also volunteer for.
