Our third-year FIRST Robotics Team has qualified for the FIRST In Michigan State Championship April 8-11, 2019, in Saginaw, Michigan. We are ranked 5th in the state out of 542 teams. Due to our continued outstanding performance, we will likely qualify for the FIRST World Championships in Detroit, MI April 25-28, 2019.
The Gladiator Robotics are a small team, made up of only 9 students in grades 9-12, from Ontonagon, Michigan. We are a small rural community located in the Upper Peninsula. Our team consists of young men and women who want to make a difference in the world. These young people are proud to be part of a team with a strong focus on technology, engineering, and science. Our team is dedicated, hard-working, and motivated to succeed. Despite our small numbers, lack of resources, and lack of corporate sponsors, we have managed to build winning robots and compete against some of the strongest teams in the state. We hope to continue this saga into the future, drawing more students into our team and showing the FIRST Robotics world that we may be small, but we are strong!
Our team is looking for supporters to help us raise the registration funds and travel funds required to attend the State and World Championship Events. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated. We look forward to the upcoming competitions and sincerely thank you for your generosity.
