St.Louise's College with Ukraine

Like everyone around the world, we are stunned by the incomprehensible war unleashed against Ukraine. With 10 million Ukrainians  having fled their homes in the last four weeks, there is a massive need for shelter, food and medical support. The Daughters of Charity have stayed in Ukraine to attend to the needs of displaced people and elderly people who have been left on their own. They have taken on the responsibilities of the staff at the House of Mercy and care for the sick day and night. Unfortunately, one of the Ukrainian sisters who was in Poland at the start of the war was unable to return to Ukraine but is now helping with meeting the needs of the refugees and translating there. The people are united and have demonstrated great solidarity – hopefully we can do the same by giving what we can to help our Ukrainian brothers and sisters.
